– no materials, parts or engines included. Plans
include all dimensions, instructions, list of materials required, illustrations
and pictures. There are 24 pages of plans and instructions, including wiring
diagrams, materials list and complete instructions. Plans are in PDF format or printed.
I can also provide a link to my web site with
several photos and YouTube videos of my stands for reference. This site also includes pictures and
videos of this stand that others have built from these plans.
Start,
run and tune your engine before installing it into your car. I am a muscle car hobbyist,
and like most, I have limited garage space for storing large equipment. I
designed this engine start/test stand so that I could be sure my rebuilt
engines were ready to run before installing into my newly restored cars. When I
first looked around for starter stands, I couldn’t find anything inexpensive or
collapsible. With some tube steel, a drill and a welder (you must be able to
weld), you can build one of these in a weekend.
This
stand collapses to less than 9″ deep to be stored against a wall or in a
corner out of the way. It can be adapted to fit most V8 engines (I’ve run several Chevy big block and Ford small block engines  on
it).
